The short version
−4 Kelvin LLC does not run a server for TK. The extension makes no network requests, collects nothing, and transmits nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no telemetry, and no advertising. Every byte TK stores lives in your browser on your device, and deleting the extension deletes everything.
What TK stores (on your device only)
- Settings. Which stores you have enabled, your preferred units (oz, lb, ml, sheets, rolls…), and any custom sites you add.
- Price observations. On stores you have enabled, TK records a dated observation for each product card it reads: store, product name and ID, price, size, pack count, and the time you saw it. This is what powers “today vs. your lowest observed.”
- Corrections. If you tell TK a price or size was misread, that correction is stored for that product so the fix sticks.
All of this is stored in browser local storage (IndexedDB and
chrome.storage.local) on your device. It is not synchronized,
uploaded, or shared.
What TK does not collect
- No browsing history. On sites you have not enabled, TK reads its own settings once and exits without touching the page.
- No personal identifiers: no name, email, IP address, device ID, or cookies set by TK.
- No purchase data. TK never touches checkout, carts, or payment.
Data transmission
None. TK contains no code that sends data to us or to any third party. If a future version ever collects anything — our plan, if it happens, is opt-in aggregate unit-price benchmarks only — this page will say so before you install it.
Deleting your data
TK has no account to delete, so there is nothing for us to erase on our side: we hold no copy. TK’s popup lists everything it stores and lets you delete individual entries or everything at once; uninstalling TK removes all stored data. See the account & data deletion page for the general policy.
